Optional reading memory starts off. Declining it does not hide the articles or prevent ordinary navigation.
The topic selector is unsaved. The fictional comparisons have no account-data intake. The optional browser feature described here remembers article positions, not subscription notes or financial information.

Storage inventory
Reading-feature storage
- rnd_privacy_v1 · first-party cookie
- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- rnd_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read. Expired entries are removed on the next saved reading-position write, where browser access permits; each such write saves at most 30 records. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record where browser access permits. Unused localStorage may remain until a later saved reading-position write, rejection or removal through browser controls.
- Article-topic selection
- Current-page memory only. The topic selector does not save its selection.
Other website technologies
The article selector and reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Rejecting and withdrawing
Accept optional, Reject optional and Settings receive equal visual treatment in the first notice. Rejection or withdrawal turns off optional memory and attempts to remove this publication’s saved reading record where browser access permits. It does not clear unrelated browser data. You can also use your browser’s site-data controls.
If the browser refuses storage
When the preference cannot be saved, optional memory remains off. A browser cleanup or private session may remove an earlier preference and cause the notice to appear again. Reading does not depend on accepting the optional feature.
Limits
The preference cookie accompanies matching website requests; reading positions are held in localStorage. These controls do not govern email, external sites, browser extensions or other services added separately. The Privacy Policy describes the broader publication context.
